Germinal and Germinal Horizon lead the Nitrogen Utilisation Efficiency-Legume (NUE-Leg) project, a £4.7m UK-based research initiative to optimise nitrogen from legumes to reduce emissions in grassland farming. Fundamental to the project will be climate smart technologies developed through innovative plant breeding at Germinal Horizon.

Germinal’s key role in the project demonstrates its long term commitment to sustainable food production through science, education and lasting impact for society and the environment.
