Containing grasses, legumes and herbs, this DAFM Multi-Species Swards mixture produces nutritious forage throughout the season and excels in grazing systems.
Best sown in spring, multi-species can improve soil health and provide a natural source of nitrogen, which is ideal for organic livestock systems.

Sowing rate: 12 kg/acre
Sowing time: April-September
Sowing depth: 10-15 mm
Sowing instructions: Cultivate to achieve a fine, firm seedbed. Ploughing will help level rough fields. Sow in good conditions (warm with rain forecast), no deeper than 10-15mm. Roll well after sowing to ensure good soil/seed contact. Slurry and lime can be applied to correct pH levels.
After sowing: Monitor for pest attack and take mechanical action where necessary.
Grazing: Graze the new reseeds frequently and at low covers (<1200 kg DM/ha) to assist in tillering and help create a dense sward.
